Originally released April 11, 2025, ANNiversary is now available nationwide and continues to make waves as a masterclass in grown-folks R&B.
A deeply personal collection of soul-stirring music, ANNiversary speaks to the complexities of love, commitment, and emotional maturity, all anchored by Nesby’s unmistakable and legendary voice.
There is only one Ann Nesby voice, and it remains a beacon of authenticity and emotional truth.
The album’s first single, “My Man,” a stirring ode to loyalty and devotion written by RL of Next and produced by Brian “B-Flat” Cook, has already resonated with audiences nationwide, surpassing 2.6 million airplay impressions.
Its follow-up, “Ain’t Gotta Worry,” flips the R&B narrative by uplifting men who show up with love and intention, offering a fresh, affirming anthem in Nesby’s signature soulful style.
The album also features the heartfelt single “Let’s Stay Together” with soul crooner Calvin Richardson, blending two iconic voices that capture the essence of love, passion, and longevity in music.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Ann Nesby first rose to prominence as the powerhouse lead singer of the GRAMMY® Award-winning ensemble Sounds of Blackness, giving voice to anthems that inspired a generation.
Her transition to a solo career brought six additional GRAMMY® nominations and a rich catalog that bridges gospel, R&B, soul, and musical theatre with grace and depth.
As a songwriter, she has penned songs for icons including Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight. Her frequent collaborations with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and other legendary hitmakers have further cemented her reputation as a multi-genre force.
On stage and screen, her acting work has brought soulful gravitas to acclaimed productions such as Queen Sugar (OWN), Atlanta (FX), The Ms. Pat Show (BET), and the national tour of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.
In 2025, Nesby also takes center stage behind the camera as Executive Producer and Narrator of CIRILO, A Legacy Untold, a powerful Oscar-qualifying documentary short film currently making its mark on the international film festival circuit.
The film not only features her voice but also includes Nesby on its soundtrack, reinforcing her ability to tell impactful stories across mediums.
Beyond entertainment, Ann Nesby embodies leadership, service, and sisterhood as an honorary member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and continues to be a cultural touchstone for excellence, empowerment, and evolution.
Ann Nesby continues to tour nationally and internationally, sharing her legendary voice and electrifying presence with audiences worldwide.
