Gospel artist, songwriter, and worship leader Gina Lloyd is set to release her electrifying new single, “Boom! Stomp the Devil,” on April 25, 2026.
We sat down with Gina to discuss the inspiration behind the track, her musical journey, and what fans can expect from this high-energy gospel dancehall anthem.

Gina explained that “Boom! Stomp the Devil” was born out of a desire to combine worship with movement.
“This song is all about spiritual empowerment through music. I wanted to create a track that doesn’t just lift the spirit but also moves the body,” she shared.
The chant at the heart of the song, “Foot up! Foot down! Stomp the devil! BOOM!,” is designed to remind listeners of their authority in Christ while celebrating victory through joyful expression.
The single blends gospel with the infectious rhythms of dancehall, built on a WDFL-style riddim.
Gina says the fusion is intentional: “I love exploring rhythms that bring energy to worship. The lyrics are rooted in gospel, but the beat gives it that vibrant, unstoppable energy that works both on-air and in live performances.”
Following the success of her recent hit, “Shackles (Praise You) Cover” featuring Larry Kingdom, Gina continues to make waves by giving gospel classics a fresh, contemporary twist.

“With ‘Shackles,’ we honored a multi-platinum gospel classic while adding Afrobeat and soulful worship elements. ‘Boom! Stomp the Devil’ takes that energy even further, it’s bold, fun, and meant to get people moving while feeling God’s presence,” she explained.
Gina’s connection with Jamaican rhythms has been a game-changer in her music. Her previous single, “Set Me on Fire,” took Jamaica by storm, showcasing her as the first gospel artist to bring worship to a popular riddim.
“Seeing how people embraced it there confirmed that worship can transcend styles. ‘Boom! Stomp the Devil’ continues that journey of merging cultural rhythms with gospel messages,” she said.
Before pursuing her solo career, Gina sang backup for world-renowned artists such as Alicia Keys and Josh Groban. That experience shaped her approach to music today.
“Working with icons taught me professionalism, versatility, and the importance of connecting with audiences on a deep level. Now, my solo work reflects all of that, authentic, high-energy, and spiritually impactful,” she shared.
Gina hopes listeners will experience both joy and empowerment with her new release. “I want people to feel unstoppable in their faith, to lift their hands, dance, and celebrate victory.
Worship should move the spirit and the body, and this track is my way of bringing that freedom to everyone,” she said.
